Ken Frank

Ken Frank has a diverse background in software testing and quality assurance. Ken worked as a Contractor and Freelance Software Tester and Engineer at uTest, where they conducted various types of testing on web, enterprise, cloud, mobile, social media, IT, and business software products. Ken also filed bug reports related to testing.

Prior to uTest, Ken volunteered as an Open Source QA Engineer for various open-source software projects and products from 2009 to 2011.

Ken also gained significant experience at Sun Microsystems, where they held multiple roles. Ken served as a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer from 2005 to 2009, focusing on testing Sun's Solaris UNIX OS, real-time and secure OS, compilers, test tools, and X Windows software. Ken also led process improvement activities during this time.

Before that, Ken was a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer from 2001 to 2005 and a Software Quality Engineer from 1997 to 2001 at Sun Microsystems. In their early career at Sun Microsystems, they worked as a Software Testing Engineer and member of Technical Staff, where they wrote tests and led testing on various features of Sun's Solaris UNIX OS, including the kernel, API, security, utilities, and X Windows software.

Ken Frank obtained a web site and web programming certificate from Foothill - Deanza College between 2010 and 2012. Ken completed courses on webmastering, web site client and server-side programming. Furthermore, they hold a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin, although the field of study is not specified.
