Jessica Flotterud, MSDH, MPH has a diverse work experience in the field of dental health. Jessica currently serves as the Chief Strategic Officer at Apple Tree Dental. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Director at Hope Dental Clinic, where they focused on reducing oral health disparities for at-risk populations through program planning. Jessica also worked as a Dental Hygiene Adjunct Faculty at Argosy University and as the Dental Director at Union Gospel Mission, where they were responsible for overseeing all day-to-day dental operations and developing programs to reduce oral health disparities. Additionally, Jessica worked at the Minnesota Department of Health as an Oral Health Data Collector, where they assessed and monitored the oral health status of the school-aged population. Jessica started their career as a Registered Dental Assistant at Hastings Family Dental Care.

Jessica Flotterud, MSDH, MPH has an extensive educational background. Jessica obtained an AAS degree in Dental Assisting from Century College in 2002. Jessica further pursued their education at Century College and received another AAS degree in Dental Hygiene in 2010. In 2011, they enrolled in Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to pursue a Master's degree in Dental Hygiene, which they completed in 2016. During their time at the same institution, they also earned a Master's degree in Public Health from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, Jessica Flotterud attended Harvard University where they completed a program on Leadership Strategies for Health Care Executives. Additionally, they attended the University of St. Thomas in the same year and obtained a Mini MBA.

In addition to their extensive education, Jessica Flotterud has acquired several certifications. In 2013, they completed the Give Kids A Smile Community Leadership Development Institute Ambassador Program offered by the American Dental Association. Jessica also completed the Leadership Institute from the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA) in 2015. Furthermore, in 2021, they obtained an Essentials of HR Certificate from MRA - The Management Association.
