Alex Sharpe

Alex Sharpe, AICP, currently serves as a Planning and Economic Development Specialist for the City of Apple Valley, MN, since August 2016. Prior to this role, Alex worked as a Planner for the City of Shakopee from November 2012 to August 2016 and held the position of Planner and Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Cedar Rapids for a brief period in 2012. Early career experience includes serving as a Community Development Intern at the City of West St. Paul, a Planning Aide at Three Rivers Park District, and a Water Resources/Planning Intern at Dakota County. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
