Aalok Gaitonde

Aalok Gaitonde is a Thermal Engineer at Apple since October 2024, previously serving as a Research Scholar at Semiconductor Research Corporation, where work focused on developing a metrology technique for high thermal conductance across buried interfaces. Prior experiences include roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University, contributing to both the Marconnet Thermal and Energy Conversion Lab and the Cooling Technologies Research Center, with projects emphasizing heat transfer and thermal management. Additional experience includes an internship as a Thermal Architect at Apple and a Thermal Systems Engineer position at 3D Systems Corporation, notable for enhancing laser sintering platforms' thermal performance. Aalok holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, alongside an M.S. from the same institution and a B.Tech. from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology.
