Andreas Koeberl is currently the Director of Sensing Hardware at Apple, leading the development of Touch ID and Watch Touch technologies. With a robust background in electrical engineering, they completed both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich. Prior to their current role, Andreas held several positions at Apple from 2016 to 2024, including Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager, where they directed hardware development for various Touch ID applications. They also gained valuable experience as an intern at Enertech CC and OMICRON electronics, and served as a Visiting Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley.
