Ashutosh Narkar

Ashutosh Narkar is a seasoned software engineer currently working at Apple in the Services Engineering Security division since August 2025. Previously, Ashutosh served as a Senior Software Engineer and Lead at Styra from January 2018 to August 2025, significantly contributing to the Open Policy Agent (OPA) project, which has garnered over 3 billion downloads and is widely adopted in production environments. Ashutosh's expertise also includes a role as Technical Leader for the CNCF Security Technical Advisory Group at The Linux Foundation from January 2021 to January 2025, and prior positions as Principal Engineer at Verizon Labs and Software Engineer at Cyan, Inc., where Ashutosh developed various microservices and tools leveraging modern technologies. Ashutosh holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
