Jenny Yang

Jenny Yang is the Machine Learning Manager at Apple, where they lead strategic initiatives focused on health algorithms for the Apple Watch and develop end-to-end machine learning applications for population health and fitness. With a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jenny previously served as a Senior Data Scientist at Clover Health and as a Technical Advisor at Insight Data Science. Passionate about public health and impactful technology, they have led initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion within tech communities, including founding the Women in Data Science group at Clover and serving on various committees with the ASA. Jenny is proficient in SQL, Python, and R, with a strong background in causal inference and ethical AI concerns.
