Jess Ong

Jess Ong is an accomplished mechanical engineer with a strong focus on product design and research. With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Master's degree from the same institution, Jess has amassed diverse experience across several prestigious organizations. At Tufts University School of Medicine, Jess coordinated a human subject study for a non-invasive blood pressure monitor and performed mechanical repairs. As a Mechanical Engineer at Portal Instruments, responsibilities included design, prototyping, and testing of a novel needle-free injector device. At the MIT Distributed Robotics Laboratory, Jess contributed to the development of robotic flowers, while currently serving as a Product Design Engineer at Apple within the Vision Products Group, specifically focusing on Vision Pro. In addition, as a Graduate Research Assistant at MIT, Jess designed a vibration-based device for screening diabetic neuropathy, engaging with healthcare professionals to understand user needs.
