Joe van den Heuvel is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in game development and real-time applications. Currently working at Apple since March 2024, Joe previously held software engineering positions at Meta and was a software architect at Valve Corporation, where contributions included the creation of the AnimGraph animation engine and the SteamVR Skeletal Input system. As the founder of CloakWorks Inc, Joe developed advanced cloth physics simulation middleware integrated with Unity and Unreal engines.
