Krishna Shankar

Krishna Shankar is a Computer Vision Engineer at Apple, specializing in computer vision and machine learning for Vision Pro within the Vision Products Group since October 2022. Prior to this role, Krishna served as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Polycam, delivering production computer vision and 3D reconstruction solutions to millions of users from August 2021 to October 2022. Krishna's experience includes a position as a Staff Research Scientist at Toyota Research Institute, focusing on mobile manipulation through optimization, control, and machine learning from March 2018 to August 2021, as well as working as a Roboticist at Everyday Robots, where kinematics, optimization, control, and machine learning were employed to enhance robotic utility in everyday environments from April 2016 to March 2018. Educationally, Krishna completed a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics) at the California Institute of Technology, following an MS in Mechanical Engineering at the same institution.
