Leonid Popryho

Leonid Popryho is a Machine Learning Firmware Engineer at Apple since September 2024, following a position as a Research Assistant at the High Performance Circuits and Systems (HiPerCAS) Laboratory where applied Diffusion Probabilistic Models for efficient pathfinding in VLSI CAD/EDA. Prior to this, Leonid served as the Lead Artificial Intelligence Engineer at RECEPTOR.AI from February 2021 to September 2024, managing a machine learning team dedicated to the development of Drug Design AI models and building data pipelines in Amazon Web Services. Leonid also developed Generative Neural Networks and classic ML models for chemical properties prediction in a prior role as a Machine Learning Engineer at RECEPTOR.AI. Educational credentials include a Postgraduate Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Blekinge Institute of Technology, another Master’s degree in Computer Science from Kyiv Academic University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical University of Ukraine 'Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.'
