Marc Osswald

Marc Osswald is a System Engineer at Apple since September 2023, with a robust background in system engineering and vision technologies. Prior to this role, Marc served as Lead System Engineer and Head of Hardware at Sony Advanced Visual Sensing AG from November 2019 to March 2023. Marc co-founded Insightness, where as COO from June 2014 to June 2020, the focus was on developing efficient vision systems inspired by brain mechanisms. Academic contributions include a PhD at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, where research centered on neural mechanisms of binocular vision, and served as a Teaching Assistant for Neuromorphic Engineering classes. Marc holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ETH Zürich.
