Nico de Laurentiis

Nico De Laurentiis is an experienced thermal software and firmware manager with a strong background in the telecommunications and consumer electronics industries. Currently serving as Thermal Software Manager and 4G/5G Firmware Manager at Apple since March 2019, Nico previously held the position of Firmware Manager for IoT Devices at Amazon Lab126, overseeing the development of low-power Alexa-enabled devices. Prior experience includes managing communications and audio DSP firmware at Fitbit, and contributing to LTE modem firmware development at Qualcomm, where significant work involved DSP algorithms and advanced low power modes. Earlier roles at Thales and Università di Bologna provided foundational experience in DSP design and RF impairments modeling. Nico holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
