Norman Li

Norman Li is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software and firmware development, particularly in the areas of video processing and unmanned systems. Currently serving as a Neural Engine Firmware Engineer at Apple since September 2019, Norman previously held key roles at Ambarella Inc. as both a Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, and at ViXS Systems Inc. as a Video Firmware Engineer, where responsibilities included the design, development, and maintenance of video decoding and encoding functionalities. Earlier career highlights include a Research position at Quanser focused on cooperative UAV control systems, and a Video BIOS Engineer role at AMD, contributing to the development of Video BIOS for various mobile platforms. Norman holds a Master of Applied Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
