Roberto Mirizzi

Roberto Mirizzi is an accomplished technology leader specializing in machine learning and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning at Apple since March 2022, overseeing a team of over 350 professionals within the Siri & Information Intelligence/Search organization. Prior to Apple, Roberto held the position of Vice President of Engineering for Machine Learning, Personalization, Recommendation, and Search at Discovery Inc, where the focus was on enhancing the personalized experience on the Discovery+ streaming service. Additional experience includes roles as Director of Recommendations Engineering at Scribd, Senior Software Engineering Manager at Roku Inc., and various positions at Yahoo, showcasing expertise in recommendation systems, search technologies, and large-scale data infrastructure. Roberto earned a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering, from Politecnico di Bari.
