Shawn Shawn has extensive experience in machine learning and research, having worked as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer and Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from October 2018 to October 2022. Prior to this, Shawn held the position of Senior R&D Engineer at Medtronic from September 2015 to October 2018 and was an R&D Engineer at Intel Corporation from March 2013 to July 2015. Early in the career, Shawn served as a Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from September 2007 to February 2013. Shawn holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and two Master’s degrees in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
