Thomas Icart

Thomas Icart is a seasoned professional in the field of cryptography and security, with extensive experience in various engineering roles. Thomas began as a Cryptographer intern at Gemalto in 2006, where studies focused on the Hidden Field Equation cryptosystem. Subsequently, Thomas served as a Security Software Engineer and later as Senior Software Engineering Manager for App Security at Apple from 2010 to 2025. Earlier experience includes contributions as a Crypto Engineer and Ph.D. candidate at Sagem Security (now Morpho ID), working on Smart Card and ID document protocols and participating in international task forces for e-passport standards. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Cryptography from Université de Luxembourg and multiple degrees in related fields from prestigious institutions, including École Polytechnique and Télécom Paris.
