Tony Petro

Tony Petro is currently a Senior Legal Counsel at Apple, co-managing the silicon engineering patent portfolio and overseeing various aspects of patent strategy, invention discovery, and training technologists on IP issues. Prior to joining Apple in 2020, Tony had extensive experience in both engineering and law, having worked at firms like Kowert Hood Munyon Rankin & Goetzel as a shareholder and at companies such as Intel and Advanced Micro Devices in technical roles. With a solid educational background that includes multiple degrees in Electrical Engineering, Philosophy, and a JD from The University of Texas, Tony has also contributed to the patent field as an inventor on 26 issued patents.
