Matt Cherniss is the Head of Programming at Apple TV+.

Prior to Apple, Cherniss served as president and general manager of WGN America and Tribune Studios for the past four years, overseeing WGNA’s transformation from a superstation to a cable network and home of high-end original drama series with series like Salem, Manhattan, Outsiders and Underground.

Before joining WGNA in 2013, Cherniss spent two years on the feature side, working as SVP Production for Warner Bros. where he oversaw the development and production of such movies as 300: Rise Of An Empire. Prior to that, Cherniss was EVP Programming and the No. 2 programming executive for Fox Broadcasting Co, where he shepherded the development of such series as Glee, Raising Hope, and Bob’s Burgers. As SVP Original Programming at FX, Cherniss played an integral role in the development of Damage, Nip/Tuck, as well as Rescue Me and Sons Of Anarchy.

Arvin Ganesan is the Head of Global Energy & Environment Policy at Apple. Prior to joining Apple, Arvin served as the Vice President for Federal Policy at the [Advanced Energy Economy](/org/advanced-energy-economy) (AEE) from October 2014 to October 2017. In this role, Arvin led AEE's federal policy efforts to support policies that enable rapid growth of businesses developing and using advanced energy technologies. 

Before their time at AEE, Arvin served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Administrator at the [US Environmental Protection Agency](/org/us-environmental-protection-agency) (EPA) from March 2009 to October 2014. In this role, Arvin oversaw and coordinated policy development, rollout and communications of major environmental policy initiatives, including Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act rulemakings. Arvin also served as a Senior Policy Adviser to Office of US Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) from January 2006 to December 2009 and as a Research Associate at Calvert Investments from January 2002 to December 2004.

Robert Redlinger is the Global Energy & Sustainability Team Lead at Apple. Robert has over 25 years of experience in the energy industry. 

Redlinger started their career as a Manager, Energy and Environmental Resource Planning at Synergic Resources Corporation in 1991. Robert then moved to CMS Energy - Viron Energy Services in 1999 as their Manager, Distributed Generation. In 2003, they became the Director of Renewable and Distributed Energy at Chevron Energy Solutions. Four years later, they were promoted to Vice President, Renewable Energy at [AECOM](/org/aecom). In 2011, they joined SunPower Corporation as their Commercial Director where they worked for six years before joining Apple in 2017.

Andrea Romano is a Renewable Energy Strategy Manager at Apple. Lisa Jackson is Apple’s vice president of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives, reporting to CEO Tim Cook.

Lisa oversees Apple’s efforts to minimize its impact on the environment by addressing climate change through renewable energy and energy efficiency, using greener materials and inventing new ways to conserve precious resources. She is also responsible for Apple’s education policy programs, its product accessibility work and its worldwide government affairs function.

From 2009 to 2013, Lisa served as Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency. Appointed by President Barack Obama, she focused on reducing greenhouse gases, protecting air and water quality, preventing exposure to toxic contamination, and expanding outreach to communities on environmental issues.

She has also served as chief of staff to New Jersey Governor Jon S. Corzine and as commissioner of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection.

Valentina Monte is a current social strategist for Apple TV+. Valentina previously worked as the head of social media for Beats by Dr. Dre from August 2017 to July 2019, and before that, they were the manager for CRM and retention marketing for HBO from May 2011 to August 2017. In this role, they created and implemented a Twitter and Hootsuite strategy for program profiles, increased followers and engaged online fan communities. Valentina also developed a social marketing strategy and corresponding toolkit enveloping HBO GO, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, foursquare, and Tumblr to attract collegiate markets nationwide to network programming and brand through a campus ambassador program. Additionally, they managed and updated existing social profiles for HBO titles, interacting to maintain audience relationships, drive users to brand content and HBO GO, and create conversation using Facebook insights. Eric Petersen is the current Director of Finance at Apple. Eric has over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and treasury. Juli Monahan is the current Director of Sales Finance at Apple. Prior to their work at Apple, Juli worked for [Deloitte](/org/deloitte) & Touche LLP from January 1999 to January 2013. During their time at [Deloitte](/org/deloitte), Juli was promoted to Senior Manager - M&A Transaction Services and was involved in over 60 transactions with deal values ranging between $10 million and $6 billion. Juli provided financial and accounting due diligence services to corporations and private equity clients and their transactions included acquisitions, mergers, PIPE investments, and carve outs in various industries including retail, consumer products, manufacturing, insurance, media, technology, and software. 

Juli was responsible for identifying and researching complex technical accounting issues and consulting with national office resources. Juli also supervised, trained, and evaluated up to eight staff members per engagement. In addition to their work with M&A Transaction Services, Juli also facilitated the national M&A Transaction Services new member workshop and national AERS training for new audit seniors. Juli was selected by management to participate in a career development program for high performing women (Focus Forward) and was also selected for a 2 year Management Development Program which placed high performing Senior Managers in challenging positions. Juli worked with the IFRS national project management office in 2009 on technical projects as well as on numerous business development opportunities.

Chris Kondo is the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting at Apple. Prior to joining Apple, Chris was an Audit Partner at KPMG LLP from January 2004 to April 2009. Michael Boyd is the current assistant treasurer at Apple. Michael has previously worked as a consultant for Sun Microsystems, a treasury manager for [Juniper Networks](/org/juniper-networks), and a senior financial analyst for Solectron Corporation. Michael has experience in managing customer credit exposure, directing policy for duration and sector decisions, providing backup support for cash management and foreign exchange transactions and hedging, co-managing the implementation of Integra-T, and developing equity investments policy.

Paul Capretta is the current Senior Finance Manager for Corporate FP&A at Apple. Prior to joining the company, Paul was a Financial Analyst (FDP) for North America FP&A at [Whirlpool](/org/whirlpool) Corporation from July 2013 to March 2015. In this role, they reported monthly on Infrastructure spending for [Whirlpool](/org/whirlpool)'s Corporate and North American Regions and provided analysis and recommendations that led to savings of over $5 million in 2013. Paul also developed a full year plan proposal for the Corporate Center regional budget that included $6 million in proposed year-over-year savings. 

Before their time at [Whirlpool](/org/whirlpool) Corporation, Paul interned as a Business Analyst Intern with Visa from May 2012 to August 2012. In this role, they worked on Core Payment Product Development. Paul's first internship was with [Morgan Stanley](/org/morgan-stanley) as a Wealth Management Intern from May 2011 to August 2011.

Saori Casey is the current Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning at Apple. Saori has held this position since July of 2011. Prior to their current role, Ms. Casey was the Vice President of Finance for Cisco Systems' Collaboration Technology Division from June 1996 to July 2011. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the division, including R&D, sales, services, revenue recognition, pricing, and deals. From January 1995 to June 1996, Ms. Casey worked as a Senior Financial Analyst for [Mattel](/org/mattel) in Corporate Finance and International Finance. And finally, from August 1990 to July 1993, they worked as a Financial Analyst for [Motorola](/org/motorola)'s Cellular Subscriber Division in Tokyo, Japan where they did cost accounting and FP&A.

Luigi Taraborrelli was most recently the R&D Head of Chassis and Vehicle Dynamics at Lamborghini. In this role, Luigi and his team were tasked with developing chassis electronics and calibrating mechatronic actuators for: semi-active suspensions, active steering and rear-wheel steering, active differentials, TV and TVBB - among other things. Luigi spent over 20 years at the company.

In January of 2021 Apple announced that Dan Riccio has stepped down from his role as senior vice president of Hardware Engineering to focus on a 'new project' as vice president of Engineering leading a new team. In this role, he continues to report directly to CEO Tim Cook. 

Previously, Dan was the senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, leading the Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod engineering teams which have delivered dozens of breakthrough products.

Dan joined Apple in 1998 as vice president of Product Design and in 2010 was named vice president of iPad Hardware Engineering. Dan has been a key contributor to most of the company’s hardware over his career and was instrumental in all of Apple’s iPad products since the first generation iPad was introduced.

Jared Gosler is the Senior Director of WW Marketing Communications at Apple. Jared has over 25 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on branding.

Jared then moved to [Leo Burnett](/org/leo-burnett) in 2003, where they served as VP, Account Director. In 2004, they joined Anomaly as Brand Director. Jared remained with Anomaly for three years before joining Apple in 2007.

Emery Sanford has been working in the facilities management field for over five years. Emery started their career at [Stanford Health Care](/org/stanford-health-care), where they worked their way up to Assistant Facilities Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of over 22 clinics, including managing building projects, PO’s, clinic activations/decommissions and customer requests. In 2018, they transitioned to FileMaker Inc., an Apple subsidiary, where they served as Facility Manager. In this role, they oversaw 135,000 sqft of corporate office facilities including; a cafe, fitness center, & auditorium. Emery also initiated and aided in transitioning [Claris](/org/claris) to adopt Apple corporate business support services. Emery is currently an iPhone PD at Apple.

Rich Dinh is a Senior Director at Apple, overseeing Product Design for the iPhone. Rich has been with Apple for over 15 years, starting as a Product Design Engineer on the iPod team. Rich later transitioned to the iPhone team in its early days, and eventually became a Manager and then Director of iPhone Product Design. In their current role, they lead a team of designers responsible for the hardware and software design of the iPhone.

Rich has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from [UC Berkeley](/org/uc-berkeley). Rich started their career as a Software Engineer at TradeSpeak, before moving to Apple in 2005. He was a longtime Porsche employee who initially joined the company in 2007. While with the luxury sports car brand he worked his way up from his first post as a manager of steering systems and wheels to occupy the top spot in the vehicle maker’s chassis department and oversee the company’s SUV product line. Before joining Porsche, Harrer held management positions at BMW and worked as a test engineer at Audi.

Heba Hamouda is the Chief Compliance Officer at Apple. Prior to joining Apple, they were an attorney at [Dentons](/org/dentons) from September 2004 to October 2008, where they were a member of the Diversity Committee and the Recruiting Committee. Heba also tutored at Sonnenschein Charter School as part of the After School Tutor Program.

Ms. Hamouda has experience drafting, reviewing, and revising asset purchase agreements, stock purchase agreements, as well as operating, employment, transition services, financing, and license agreements. Heba has also conducted and managed due diligence reviews and draft due diligence memos. In addition, they have experience in general corporate governance, including drafting of company board resolutions and certificates, board minutes, certificates of incorporation, bylaws, legal opinions, and client memoranda.

Ms. Hamouda has experience drafting appellate briefs in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Heba has also drafted master service agreement, statement of work, call center agreement. Her pro bono representation included asylum cases as well as other immigration matters. Tasks included drafting briefs and motions, and appearing before the immigration court.

Ms. Hamouda has also served as counsel to Chicago Loop Alliance. Tasks included drafting a variety of agreements, including service agreements, employment agreements, joint ventures, partnership agreements, and general corporate counsel.

Martin Gudmundsson is the current Director of Regulatory & Legal for EMEIA at Apple. Prior to joining the company, Gudmundsson served as Senior Legal Counsel and Director of Legal Affairs at ST-Ericsson from September 2007 to January 2013. In this role, they were responsible for legal support for ST-Ericsson customer and operator activities in the Americas and Japan. This included negotiating complex international licensing contracts, joint development contracts, and corporate supply agreements with large American companies, primarily mobile OEMs. 

From March 2003 to January 2005, Gudmundsson worked as Legal Counsel for [Tetra Pak](/org/tetra-pak). In this role, they provided legal support to [Tetra Pak](/org/tetra-pak)’s global purchasing department, involving contract drafting and negotiations of supply and consultancy agreements. Martin also drafted, implemented, and updated global contract templates for equipment sales and R&D cooperation agreements.

Sumbul Desai, MD currently serves as Vice President of Health at Apple, overseeing health initiatives including clinical product development, innovative clinical partnerships and medical research. Chan School of Public Health, the American Heart Association, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Johns Hopkins University, to conduct landmark health studies and advance discovery with the ResearchKit and CareKit platforms. Apple recently launched its ECG, Irregular Heart Rhythm, Hearing and Women’s Health features to continue its work in Health. Phil has helped guide Apple’s products and marketing for 30 years, most recently as the senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. Over the course of his tenure, Phil has helped the company create the best computers in the world with the Mac, lead the digital music revolution with iPod and iTunes, reinvent mobile phones with iPhone and the App Store, and define the future of mobile computing with iPad.

John Ternus is Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. John leads all hardware engineering, including the teams behind iPhone, iPad, Mac, AirPods, and more.

Luca Maestri is Apple’s senior vice president and chief financial officer reporting to CEO Tim Cook. As CFO, Luca oversees the accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, real estate, investor relations, internal audit and tax functions at Apple. Luca joined Apple in 2013 as vice president of Finance and corporate controller, and has worked closely with Apple’s senior leadership since his arrival.

Luca has over 25 years of experience building and leading finance teams in global companies with significant operating scale and complexity. Prior to joining Apple, Luca was CFO at Xerox and previously at Nokia Siemens Networks.

He began his career with General Motors and spent 20 years in finance and operating roles in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. While at GM, Luca was part of the team that established GM’s regional Asia Pacific operations, including manufacturing investments in China and Thailand. He later became CFO for all of GM’s operations in Europe, which spanned over 45 countries with annual net revenue of approximately $40 billion.

Sabih Khan is Apple’s senior vice president of Operations reporting to COO Jeff Williams. Sabih is in charge of Apple’s global supply chain, ensuring product quality and overseeing planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics and product fulfillment functions, as well as Apple’s supplier responsibility programs that protect and educate workers at production facilities around the world. 

The Operations team also supports Apple’s environmental initiatives by partnering with suppliers to propel green manufacturing, helping conserve resources and protect the planet.

Since joining Apple in 1995, Sabih has played an important role in delivering each of Apple’s innovative products to market. Prior to Apple, Sabih worked as an applications development engineer and key account technical leader at GE Plastics. He earned bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from [Tufts University](/org/tufts-university) and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from [Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute](/org/rensselaer-polytechnic-institute) (RPI).

John Giannandrea is Apple’s senior vice president of Machine Learning and AI Strategy, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. John joined Apple in 2018 and oversees the strategy for artificial intelligence and machine learning across the company and development of Core ML and Siri technologies.

Prior to Apple, John spent eight years at Google where he led the Machine Intelligence, Research and Search teams. Before this he co-founded two technology companies, Tellme Networks and Metaweb Technologies. Earlier in his career John was a senior engineer at General Magic.

Katherine Adams is Apple’s general counsel and senior vice president of Legal and Global Security, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. Kate serves on the company’s executive team and oversees all legal matters, including corporate governance, intellectual property, litigation and securities compliance, global security and privacy. Kate joined Apple from [Honeywell](/org/honeywell) in 2017, where she worked for 14 years, most recently as senior vice president and general counsel. Kristin Huguet Quayle is the VP of Worldwide Communications at Apple. Kristin has been with the company since 2007, and in their current role, they oversee all communications strategies for Apple worldwide.

Johny Srouji serves as senior vice president of Hardware Technologies at Apple, reporting to CEO Tim Cook. Johny has built one of the world’s strongest and most innovative teams of silicon and technology engineers, overseeing breakthrough custom silicon and hardware technologies including batteries, application processors, storage controllers, sensors silicon, display silicon and other chipsets across Apple’s entire product line.

Johny joined Apple in 2008 to lead development of the A4, the first Apple-designed system on a chip.

Jeff Williams is Apple’s chief operating officer reporting to CEO Tim Cook. He oversees Apple’s entire worldwide operations and customer service and support. Jeff led the development of Apple Watch in close collaboration with the design team, and oversees the engineering teams responsible for Apple Watch. He is also driving the company’s health initiatives, pioneering new technologies and advancing medical research to empower people to better understand and manage their health and fitness.

Jeff played a key role in Apple’s entry into the mobile phone market with the launch of iPhone, and since 2010 has led worldwide operations for all products. Jeff joined Apple in 1998 as head of Worldwide Procurement.

Prior to that, they worked as a junior data scientist at Spektral from April 2016 to December 2017, where they assisted the development team in different research areas using Machine Learning and Computer Vision algorithms to improve the automation of cutouts. From October 2014 to December 2014, they worked as an IT consultant at Business Aabenraa, where they created an automated process to present information on Business Aaberaa’s welcome screen. From September 2014 to June 2015, they were a teaching assistant for the course Advanced Engineering Mathematics 1 at Technical University of Denmark. John Gould is currently the Senior Legal Counsel for Open Source & Standards at Apple. Rob York is the Vice President - Manufacturing Design at Apple. Rob has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and manufacturing industries. 

Rob started their career at [Perceptron](/org/perceptron) in 1995 as the Director of Product Development. Rob then moved to Solidica, Inc. in 2000 and served as the Director of Operations and Development and Chief Operating Officer. In 2006, Rob left Solidica to join [Honeywell](/org/honeywell) as the Director Operational Excellence. Rob was promoted to Sr. Director Mechanical Commodities in 2005 and served in that role until they left [Honeywell](/org/honeywell) to return to Apple in 2007. 

At Apple, Rob has served in various leadership roles within the engineering organization including Director, GSM Enclosures (2007-2008), Director, GSM & SQE Enclosures (2008-2009), and Director, GSM, SQE, & SBE Enclosures (2009-2010). Rob was promoted to Sr. Director of Enclosures in 2010 and served in that role until 2014 when they were promoted to their current role as Vice President - Manufacturing Design.

Kuan-chang Huang is an engineering program manager at Apple. Kuan-chang has also worked as a data research intern at Yahoo, a machine learning intern at Cathay Life Insurance, and an AI engineer intern at IBM.

Kuan-chang Huang’s experience in data research began at Yahoo, where they developed an E-Commerce recommendation system using BERT based on media news headlines and abstracts. Kuan-chang also pre-trained and fine-tuned GPT-2 model to automatically generate slogans for recommended items. In addition, they worked on reading and writing large-scaled data formats on HDFS using PySpark.

At Cathay Life Insurance, Kuan-chang Huang established a fraud detection system using Neo4j, Graph Neural Networks (GNN), and Decision Tree models. Kuan-chang was able to increase accuracy by 2% by applying graph-related features to the original LightGBM model.

Lastly, during their internship at IBM, Kuan-chang Huang achieved image classification model accuracy of 99% and compressed model size to 1.5% using knowledge distillation techniques on detecting specific ear diseases.
