Patrick Kelly

Patrick Kelly is the founder of Appledore Research Group, a global market research firm specializing in the telecom software market. Prior to founding Appledore, Kelly was a co-founder of OSS Observer, where they served as Research Director. In this role, they provided strategic direction to telecommunications software suppliers, investment firms, and service providers. Patrick was also a frequent speaker at industry conferences, user conferences, and international regional events.

Kelly has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications software industry. Patrick began their career as a software engineer at Bell Labs, where they worked on developing network management systems. Patrick then spent several years as a consultant at OSS Observer, where they advised clients on when and where to make investments in the telecom market. In 2003, they co-founded OSS Observer with two partners. The company was acquired by Analysys Mason in 2014.

Kelly holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rutgers University and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania.

Patrick Kelly earned a BS in math from the University of Vermont and an MBA in business from Plymouth State University.
