Leigh Hewerdine

Leigh Hewerdine has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the retail industry. Leigh began their career at Supervalu in 1998 as a Fresh Food Manager and worked there for eight years. Leigh then joined Cuisine de France as an Area Sales Manager from 2006 to 2010. After that, they worked at LB Retailing as a Group Fresh Food Manager from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they joined Spar Killarney as a Store Manager for a year. Currently, Leigh is working at Applegreen, where they have held multiple roles including Site Manager/Multi Site Manager from 2015 to 2017, Regional Operations Manager from 2017 to 2019, Head of Trading from 2019 to 2021, and Head of Retail Operations from 2021 to the present. Moreover, they will take on the role of Vice President of Operations at Applegreen starting in February 2023.

Leigh Hewerdine attended University College Cork from 2020 to 2022, studying Accounting and Business Finance. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Retail Management at Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
