Maikou Heu

MaiKou Heu's work experience includes being the Principal of Johnston Elementary at Appleton Area School District since August 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate Principal/District School Counseling Program Support at Appleton Area School District from August 2013 to July 2018. MaiKou also worked as an Independent School Counseling Consultant at Independent from February 2018 to September 2018. Additionally, they have experience as an Adjunct Instructor at Lakeland University Fox Cities from June 2008 to May 2015. Before that, they worked at Boys & Girls Club Fox Valley as a Youth and Family Counselor from May 2004 to May 2005, and as a Unit Director at Roosevelt Middle School from January 2001 to May 2004. MaiKou also held the position of Teen Coordinator at Boys & Girls Club Fox Valley from May 2000 to January 2001.

MaiKou Heu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Education and Human Services from UW Oshkosh in 2001. MaiKou then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration and Supervision from National Louis University from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, from 2001 to 2005, they completed a MSE degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services at UW Oshkosh.
