Thai Xiong, Ph.D has extensive work experience in various educational and scientific roles. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Forensic Scientist for the State of Wisconsin. They then transitioned to the role of a High School Science Teacher at Milwaukee Public Schools. In 2009, Thai Xiong joined Hmong American Peace Academy as an Assistant Educational Leader/Extra-curricular Administrator. They remained in this role until 2015 when they became an Administrator for the Green Bay Area Public School District. From 2017 to 2018, Thai Xiong worked as the Principal/Athletic Director at Hmong American Peace Academy. Currently, they serve as the Director of STEM (7-12) and Health & Human Performance (K-12) at Appleton Area School District.

Thai Xiong, Ph.D has a strong educational background in the field of education and curriculum development. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction from Walden University in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Alverno College in 2015. Thai also holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Science Education, Professional Development K-12 from Alverno College, completed from 2007 to 2009. They started their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Marquette University, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, Thai Xiong holds multiple certifications including Director of Instruction and Principal from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, obtained in June 2015. They also obtained certifications in 601 Broadfield, 605 Biology, and 610 Chemistry from the same institution in June 2009.
