Emily Patel

Emily Patel is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in educational settings, currently serving at both the District of Columbia Public Schools and AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School since 2021 and 2015, respectively. Prior roles include Professional Caregiver at White House Nannies, a Corps Member with Teach For America, and a Kindergarten Teacher at University YES Academy. Early in their career, Emily worked as a Senior Counselor and Inclusion Aide at Cherry Preschool. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Kenyon College.
