Sebastian Presecan

Sebastian Presecan has a long and varied work experience. Sebastian began their career in 2000 as a Developer at Siliage. In 2001, they joined iQuest Technologies as a Senior Java Developer, then moved up to Head of Mobile Solutions and Product Manager. In 2013, they co-founded PANGEA and Crosscut USA, where they served as CTO. Sebastian also worked at The Informal School of IT as a Java Mentor and Java Training Lead from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they became Chief Information Officer at IFACTOR - Alternative SME Lending. In 2020, they co-founded Applications Studio and currently serves as CTO.

Sebastian Presecan began their educational journey in 1991 at Petru Maior Highschool. From 1995 to 2000, they attended Universitatea “Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca, where they earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems. Sebastian then went on to Technical University of Cluj Napoca, where they received an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science between 1998 and 2002, followed by an Msc in Computer Science from 2002 to 2003. Sebastian then returned to Universitatea “Babeș-Bolyai” din Cluj-Napoca, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pervasive Computing in 2006. In 2018, they obtained a Deep Learning Nanodegree from Udacity and in 2019, they obtained a Deep Reinforcement Learning Nanodegree from Udacity. Additionally, Sebastian holds two certifications, a Certified SCRUM Master from the SCRUM Alliance, and a SCEA - Sun Certified Enterprise Architect from SUN.
