Terry McCarthy

Senior Network Engineer at Applied Card Systems, Inc.

Terry McCarthy has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Terry began their career as a Medical Technologist at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in 1987 and then transitioned to the role of Technical Specialist at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System in 1989. Terry worked in this position until 2004.

In 2013, Terry joined Eastern Controls, Inc. as an IT Technician where they gained experience in various areas including Active Directory, VOIP, Windows systems, Server administration, Exchange, WIFI networks, Desktop Support, and Network Administration. Terry stayed with Eastern Controls, Inc. until 2015.

In 2015, Terry joined Applied Card Systems as a Network Engineer and was later promoted to Senior Network Engineer in 2018. Their tenure at Applied Card Systems is ongoing.

Terry McCarthy obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Network Engineering from Delaware County Community College during the period of 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Temple University from 1982 to 1987 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist. In terms of additional certifications, Terry obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco in February 2015. Terry also obtained Network+ and A+ certifications from CompTIA in November and October 2013, respectively. Furthermore, in August 1987, they acquired a certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
