Rosen Jacob

Co-Founder at Applied Dexterity

Rosen Jacob has a comprehensive work experience, with a focus on academic positions as well as co-founding multiple companies. Rosen began their career as a Professor at the University of Washington in 2000 and held this position until 2008. From 2008 to 2014, they served as a Professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2012, Rosen co-founded SPI Inc., followed by co-founding ExoSense Inc. and Applied Dexterity, Inc. in 2013. Since 2014, they have been a Professor at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, with primary and joint appointments in various departments.

Rosen Jacob obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Tel Aviv University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they earned an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution between 1990 and 1993. Rosen completed their undergraduate studies at Tel Aviv University as well, receiving a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from 1983 to 1987. Rosen completed their high school education at Handassaim - Ramat Aviv - Tel-Aviv University from 1980 to 1983, focusing on Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
