Applied Epi
Elham Ali, MPH, PMP, serves as a Mixed-methods Researcher (Volunteer) at Work on Climate since September 2024 and as a Researcher for The Opportunity Project for Cities at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation, focusing on equitable data tools for local challenges. Elham also holds positions as an Assistant R Instructor at Applied Epi, a Doctoral Student Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future, and has been a Scholar in the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program since May 2010. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at Rho Impact, Founder & Principal of Elham Ali Consultancy, Lead Human-centered Design Advisor at Pima County, and various leadership roles at U.S. Digital Response and Designlab. Elham Ali's educational background includes a Doctor of Public Health from Johns Hopkins, a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Claremont McKenna College.

Applied Epi
Applied Epi supports people working on the front lines of public health by accelerating the coming shift toward analytical tools and epidemiological methods that are open-source, accessible, and agile. Applied Epi is the creator of the Epidemiologist R Handbook (used by 750,000 people at www.epiRhandbook.com), runs live R training courses for health agencies, offers free R tutorials and case studies for public health, and run the public discussion forum community.appliedepi.org.
