Marcello Cirillo

Marcello Cirillo is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the Head of Sweden Applications at Applied Intuition since October 2025. Previously, Marcello held the position of Director of Engineering at Eliq from June 2024 to October 2025, managing a comprehensive engineering organization across multiple specialized teams. At Klarna, from February 2022 to May 2024, Marcello advanced from Senior Engineering Manager to managing the Data Ingestion and Streaming team while overseeing numerous critical projects within the Data Platform group. With extensive experience at Scania Group from March 2015 to February 2022, including roles as Head of Motion Planning and Control and Product Owner, Marcello contributed significantly to the development of autonomous driving technologies. Academic accomplishments include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Örebro University and a background as a postdoctoral researcher focusing on automated reasoning and robotic applications. Marcello began the professional journey as a Data Analyst at Neptuny and a Freelance Journalist, contributing to over 100 articles for Future Media Italy.
