Frank Kastenholz

Frank Kastenholz is an experienced consultant specializing in networking and security architectures, currently working at Applied Invention since January 2020. Previously, Frank served as a Chief Grandpa Officer at Grandmothers House and spent over two years as a Software Engineer at Google, focusing on network protocols, particularly the QUIC transport protocol. Frank's extensive background includes significant roles as a Senior Scientist at BBN Technologies, a consulting engineer at Airvana Networks, and a Staff Engineer at Juniper Networks, where various enhancements to network functionality and security were developed. Further earlier experience includes engineering positions at Unisphere Networks, Argon Networks, and FTP Software, where foundational work in router development, packet processing, and audio/video tools was undertaken. Frank holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
