Jonathan Rivera has been working in the engineering field since 2006. Jonathan began their career as a Test Equipment Engineer Jr. at Termotec De Chihuahua S.A. de C.V. in 2006. In 2008, they moved to ThyssenKrupp System Engineering S.A. de C.V. as a Control Engineer. From 2013 to 2021, Jonathan worked at various companies, including Fives Cinetic Automation de Mexico as a Controls Engineer Manager, Magna International as a Manufacturing Engineer and a Controls Engineer, Beiersdorf as an Automation Coordinator, and Applied Manufacturing Technologies as an Automation Engineer. During their time at Magna International, Jonathan achieved a cycle time reduction in a Force Press process of 3 seconds by modifying process sequence, reduced camera evaluation failures from 85% to 33% by implementing data capture for statistical evaluation, and was a member of Kai-zen & 6-Sigma projects. Jonathan also achieved a cycle time reduction up to 1 seconds by modifying nut runner and PLC sequences and a cycle time reduction up to 1.7 seconds in a robot station by modifying robot movement strategy.

Jonathan Rivera received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Chihuahua in 2005. Jonathan has since obtained multiple certifications, including GCCS-2 Standards from General Motors in 2022, GCCH Standards from General Motors in 2021, The Six Morning Habits of High Performers from LinkedIn in 2020, and Siemens STEP 7 – Service Technician Certified from LMS, A Siemens Business in 2016.
