Emrah Zarifoglu

Emrah Zarifoglu, Ph.D., currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at The University of Texas at Austin and leads Research and Development for Cloud and AI/ML at Applied Materials. With a robust background in data science and optimization, Emrah held various significant roles at IBM, including Program Director of Data Science, where leadership was provided for AI and data science tools for the Multi-Cloud Management Platform. Emrah's earlier experience includes positions at Gravitant, SEMATECH, and AMD, focusing on advanced analytics, semiconductor simulation, and operations research. Emrah earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and holds both a master's and bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University.
