Mark Weitekamp

Mark Weitekamp is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations research and defense analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Operations Research Analyst at ARA since February 2018, Mark previously held significant roles at ANSER, including Principal Analyst and Manager of the Systems Division, where leadership in study team initiatives and recruitment of scientific personnel were central to responsibilities. Mark's background includes program management for chemical and biological defense at the U.S. Department of Energy and various positions in the U.S. Army, culminating in command of the Blue Grass Chemical Activity and oversight of nuclear policy issues. Mark holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
