Matthew Hanley

Matthew Hanley is currently serving as the Munitions Technology Development Program Manager at ARA since October 2023. Previously, Matthew held various positions at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, including Director of Career Services, where responsibilities encompassed assisting students with career readiness and organizing large career fairs. As the Manager of Career and Professional Development, Matthew supported over 200 students in interview preparation and job searching, while also coordinating the Fall 2018 Career Fair. Additionally, as Director of the Veterans Resource Center, Matthew fostered connections with businesses to provide mentorship for veterans and conducted resume workshops. Prior experience includes serving as a Writing Instructor at Veterans Upward Bound and holding multiple roles with the US Marine Corps, where responsibilities included managing intelligence programs and advising Afghan counterparts. Matthew holds a B.S. in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and an M.S. in Engineering Management from South Dakota Mines.
