Samuel Carano

Samuel Carano is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in avionics and optical engineering. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer at ARA since June 2023, Samuel previously held the position of Optical Engineer at Boeing from January 2020 to November 2023. Earlier, Samuel served as an Avionics Specialist in the United States Air Force from June 2011 to May 2015, where responsibilities included leading teams to analyze and repair avionic systems on modified F-16 aircraft and managing classified components. Academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Optics and Photonics from the University of Michigan, along with ongoing studies in Optical Engineering at The University of New Mexico, and a Bachelor's Degree in Math, Physics, and Electronics Engineering Technology from Eastern Michigan University. Samuel also holds an Associate’s Degree in Avionics Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force and has pursued various educational opportunities at multiple institutions.
