Sean Ingimarson

Sean Ingimarson, PhD, currently serves as a Staff Engineer 1 at ARA, beginning in June 2023. Previously, Sean held multiple roles at Clemson University, including Research Assistant, Graduate Teacher of Record, Research Scientist, and Teaching Assistant from June 2017 to May 2023. Responsibilities included developing open-source finite element software and managing teaching assistants for business statistics courses. Additional experience includes a Summer Intern position at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where software improvements were made to high order finite element codes, and an NREIP Intern role at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, focusing on bio-inspired acoustic analysis. Sean earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics and an MS in Mathematics from Clemson University, following a BS in Mathematics from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
