Tom van Boheemen

Tom van Boheemen has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and law enforcement. Tom started their career as an intern at Politie Utrecht in 2014. In 2017, they completed an internship at the Dutch National High Tech Crime Unit and a local Dutch police cybercrime team, where they conducted research on cybercrime victim reporting and police reporting policies.

In 2018, Tom joined CGI Nederland as an OT/ICS Security Specialist within their Cyber Crime Unit. In this role, they conducted security audits and assessments for OT/ICS systems and networks in production environments worldwide. Tom also advised clients on minimizing the chances of cyber incidents disrupting their production process and business continuity.

Since 2020, Tom has been working at Applied Risk - Critical Infrastructure Made Secure. Tom initially served as an OT Security Consultant and later transitioned into a Senior OT Security Consultant role. Additional details about their current role are not provided.

Tom van Boheemen completed their Bachelor's degree in Criminology at Leiden University from 2012 to 2015. Tom then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Opsporingscriminologie at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2016 to 2017. Tom has also obtained several additional certifications, including the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Operations & Maintenance Specialist from the International Society of Automation (ISA) in June 2023, the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Design Specialist from ISA in April 2022, the ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Specialist from ISA in October 2021, the Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional from GIAC Certifications in November 2019, the Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist from ISA in July 2020, and the Nozomi Networks Certified Engineer from Nozomi Networks in January 2020.
