Gang Zhou

Gang Zhou is a seasoned metallurgical expert with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as the Chief Metallurgical Engineer for the Combustion Engineering Solutions Division at Applied Thermal Coatings since March 2017. Prior roles include Principal Metallurgist at GE Power and Alstom Power, focusing on failure analysis, condition assessment, and research on high-temperature materials. Earlier experience at the University of Tennessee involved supervising the Material Joining Group and conducting fundamental research on creep damage and welding evaluation. Gang Zhou holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, a Master’s degree from Harbin Welding Institute, and a Bachelor's degree from Jilin University of Technology, specializing in Welding Metallurgy.
