Marc Martija Ortiz

Marc Martija Ortiz has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Marc has worked at Applus+ Laboratories since 2007, where they currently hold the position of Managing Director of Materials & Structures Laboratories. In this role, they have full P&L, commercial, and operations responsibility and leads a team of 600 employees across multiple locations. Marc is also responsible for defining and implementing strategic investments and has been appointed as Director of several subsidiaries. Prior to this role, Marc served as the Chief Business Development Officer at Applus+ Laboratories, focusing on strategic growth plans and leading the Marketing organization.

In addition to their tenure at Applus+ Laboratories, Marc has held various roles at other companies. Marc worked at Applus+ as a Business Unit Director from 2009 to 2019 and as an Area Director from 2007 to 2009. Marc also worked at INGENIA, AIE as a General Manager from 2005 to 2006 and at Schneider Electric as a Project Director from 1996 to 2005.

Furthermore, Marc has academic experience as an Associate Professor at ESADE Business School, where they taught Project Management in the General Management and Strategy Department for several MBA programs. Marc has been associated with ESADE since 2003 and continues to collaborate with them on a periodic basis.

Lastly, Marc briefly worked at Applus+ as the Global Digital Transformation Leader in 2018.

Marc Martija Ortiz has a Bachelor's degree from La Salle de Gracia, and an Engineer's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Marc also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Esade and has completed the Programa de Alta Dirección de Empresas (PADE) at IESE Business School.
