Wei Yuan Mao

Wei Yuan Mao has over 10 years of work experience in the cybersecurity and technology industry. They started their career as a Software Developer at Idoneum Electronic Identity in 2009. In 2011, they joined Applus+ Laboratories as a Sr. Security Engineer and later became a Sr. Security Evaluator and Consultant. From 2014 to 2018, Mao worked at Brightsight as a Sr. Security Evaluator and Lead Consultant. They then returned to Applus+ Laboratories in 2019 as a Management Consultant and Security & Business Strategy Advisor. Mao has since taken on roles as a Laboratory Manager and the Director of Operations for Cybersecurity & Interoperability at Applus+ Laboratories. They have successfully led global business consultancy projects and provided support to management teams in areas such as business strategy, operations management, and business development.

Wei Yuan Mao has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, which they obtained from 2006 to 2009. Wei also has a Master's degree in Information and Communication Technology Security from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, which they completed from 2015 to 2016. Recently, Wei Yuan Mao pursued an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management from Esade in 2019-2020. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Common Criteria evaluator from TUV Rheinland Europe, although the year of obtaining is unspecified.
