Xavier Ruiz Peña

Xavier Ruiz Peña has significant experience in product conformity and certification. Xavier has been the Managing Director of the Product Conformity & Certification Business Unit at Applus+ Laboratories since 2002, overseeing product certification, system certification, product testing labs, and metrology services. Additionally, Xavier served as the President of ACERTES, the Spanish Association of Certifiers and Verifiers of Conformity Assessment, starting in 2017. Xavier also held the position of Vice President at AELI from January 2019 to September 2022. Prior to these roles, Xavier worked as a Project Manager at SONY from 1997 to 2002.

Xavier Ruiz Peña completed their education in a chronological order as follows:

- From 1991 to 1996, they studied at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, earning a degree in INGENIERIA SUPERIOR INDUSTRIAL with a specialization in Espec. Mecánica.

- From 2002 to 2004, they pursued an MBA at EUNCET, earning a Master in Business Administration.

- In 2013 and 2014, Xavier attended the IESE Business School, completing the PDG-2014 program in DIRECCION GENERAL.
