Sean Whitney, MBA

Sean Whitney, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Sean is currently working at AppNeta and DX NetOps by Broadcom as a Resident Engineer. Prior to this, Sean served as a Senior Sales Engineer and later as a Technical Account Manager at the same company.

Before joining AppNeta and DX NetOps by Broadcom, Sean was the CEO/Owner of Visionary Networks, a small software company specializing in DOCSIS management for cable companies. During their tenure, they developed an enterprise-scaled web-based platform that allowed networks and field operations, customer care, and management to make informed decisions.

Sean also worked at Charter Communications as a Senior Unix Administrator, where they managed network servers and provided technical support to field engineers and customer service centers. Prior to that, they served as a Network & Systems Admin at GST Telecom.

Sean's career started in 1997 at Lsi Logics Corp, where they worked as a Production Supervisor. Before that, they served as a Captain in the US Army from 1993 to 1997.

Throughout their career, Sean has gained extensive experience in technical roles, management, and entrepreneurship, showcasing their versatility and adaptability. With their strong background and business acumen, they are well-equipped to excel in their current and future roles.

Sean Whitney earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Information Technology/Security from the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management. Sean attended the university from 2017 to 2020. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from the University of Washington, which they completed from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their formal education, Sean Whitney has also acquired various certifications. Sean completed the "Project Management: Technical Projects" certification from LinkedIn in March 2020. Sean obtained the "iOS 10 App Development Essentials 1: Create Your First App" certification from LinkedIn in October 2016. Furthermore, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) through the Scrum Alliance in February 2020.
