Danvers Baillieu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Danvers is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of ApprovalDeck, a company they started in 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Adviser and Investor at Dload, a digital downloads platform on eBay, starting in December 2022.
In 2019, they took on the role of Non-Exec Director and Investor at VerifyMy, a company focused on age authentication in e-commerce. From 2022 to 2023, they served as a Charter Member of TechGC.
Before that, from 2016 to 2022, Baillieu held multiple roles at InfoSum, starting as the Chief Operating Officer and later becoming the President of Legal and Business Affairs. InfoSum specializes in technology that enables querying multiple databases without moving the underlying data.
From 2011 to 2018, they chaired the Techpitch4.5 events organized by 2Pears.com. Baillieu also worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Privax Limited, an Avast Software company, from 2012 to 2016.
Prior to that, they gained legal experience as a Senior Associate at Pinsent Masons from 2011 to 2012 and as a Solicitor at Winston & Strawn from 2003 to 2011, specializing in litigation and fund raising work for small and medium-sized companies.
Baillieu's early career included co-founding Firehouse, a London nightclub, bar, and restaurant in 2002. Danvers was involved in setting the business strategy and advising its implementation until they sold their shares in 2008.
Danvers Baillieu attended Eton College from 1989 to 1994. Danvers then pursued a degree in Economic and Social History at the University of Bristol from 1995 to 1998. Later, they attended the University of the West of England from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a CPE/LPC degree in Law.
