Chris Black, CHST

Chris Black, CHST has extensive experience in the field of safety management. Chris began their career as a Safety Manager at The Weitz Company in 2008 and worked there until 2009. Chris then joined Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest as a Safety Manager in 2010. In 2011, Chris joined SMI Safety as a Safety Manager and held this role until 2018. Chris is currently serving as the Director of Operations at Appruv, a position they have held since June 2018.

Chris Black, CHST, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Iowa State University, where they attended from 2003 to 2007. Chris further expanded their expertise in the field by earning the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in December 2019.
