Nelson Jeppesen has worked in various roles since 2003. Nelson began their career in the United States Air Force as an Enlisted, where they gained extensive experience with IIS 6.x, configuring and maintaining Sidewinder firewalls and Bluecoat web proxies, running Active Directory for several large Air Force bases, installing VMWare VI 3 and iSCSI SAN solutions, and deploying Emergency Communication Systems to 4,000 users. In 2008, they began working at Philips as a Systems Engineer. Nelson then moved to The Walt Disney Company in 2011, where they held the roles of Sr. Compute Engineer, Sr. Systems Engineer, and Systems Engineer. In 2015, they worked at EMC as a Principal InfoSec Engineer and at Simply Measured as a Sr. DevOps Engineer. In 2018, they took a travel sabbatical to Guatemala, where they developed their soft-skills with a focus on communication and negotiation, and engineered on-board water storage, water filtration, refrigeration, and other modifications for remote vehicle self-sufficiency. Since 2019, they have been a Sr. DevOps Engineer at Apptentive.

Nelson Jeppesen obtained an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force between 2004 and 2008.
