Shawn Engel

Shawn Engel currently serves as the West Area Director for Public Sector and Higher Education at Apptio, an IBM Company, where responsibilities include overseeing Technology Business Management applications. Previous experience includes roles as a SLED Client Executive at VMware and as a Senior Account Manager at Presidio. From April 2005 to October 2016, Shawn Engel held multiple positions at Gartner, including Client Executive for State and Local Government and Field Area Manager for the Western US & Canada, achieving significant revenue quotas. Prior roles also include account management positions at META Group and Microwarehouse, focusing on educational and commercial accounts. Shawn Engel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut from 1990 to 1995.
