Product Manager at Apptronik

Orion Campbell IV has held numerous positions in the engineering industry since 2008. Orion began their career as an Engineering Intern at Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. in 2008, followed by a Whitewater Canoeing Instructor and Guide at Blue Ridge Mountains Council in 2009. In 2010, Orion was a Design Engineering Intern at Trident Research LLC. From 2011-2013, they held three intern positions at Chevron, including Subsea Facilities Engineering Intern, Facilities Systems Engineering Intern, and Field Drilling Engineer. In 2017, Orion was a Controls and Software Engineer at Apptronik, and in 2018 they became the SW&C Product Owner, Director of Software and Control Engineering, Lead Software and Controls Engineer, and Software and Controls Engineer at Apptronik. Finally, Orion was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Human Centered Robotics Lab, The University of Texas in 2016.

Orion Campbell IV attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Orion then returned to The University of Texas at Austin from 2016 to 2018 and completed a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Orion is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
