Kate Hooker is a seasoned tax professional with extensive experience in state and local tax management. Currently serving as the Director of State and Local Tax at Aprio since April 2024, Kate is responsible for planning and coordinating tax strategies while ensuring compliance with tax laws. Previously, Kate held the position of State and Local Tax Manager at Aprio and Katz, Sapper & Miller, focusing on research and analysis of taxation issues and multi-state tax returns. Kate has also worked as an Incentives Compliance Specialist at KSM Location Advisors and has a strong background in legal roles, including experience as a Law Clerk and Legal Intern. Kate earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.), cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and holds a BS in Arts Administration from Butler University.
