Balint Antal

Balint Antal has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Balint currently works as a Machine Learning Lead at Apriori Bio, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from December 2017 to April 2021, holding various roles including Project Leader, Data Scientist, and Senior Staff Scientist.

Balint Antal has also worked at the University of Debrecen, where they served as an Assistant Professor from September 2013 to September 2019. Their responsibilities included teaching computer science courses at various levels, supervising theses, and working on projects involving classifier ensemble creation and unsupervised phenotyping using deep learning. During their time at the university, they also worked as an Assistant Lecturer and a PhD Student, focusing on the development of a system for automatic screening of diabetic retinopathy and the implementation of an ensemble learning approach for microaneurysm detection.

Additionally, Balint Antal has held positions at CL-IC Technologies Limited, serving as the Co-Director and Chief Technology Officer from September 2014 to November 2017.
