Gamal Elkoumy

Gamal Elkoumy has a diverse work experience starting with their current position as a Software Engineer at Apromore since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Tartu from 2018 to 2022, where their responsibilities included conducting research on Privacy-Preserving Process Mining and teaching courses on Business Process Mining and Enterprise System Integration. Before that, they were a Research Assistant at the Wireless Research Center, Alexandria University from 2017 to 2018, where they assisted in building and developing outdoor localization systems. Gamal also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Tanta University from 2014 to 2018, where they assisted in teaching and research on Big Data and Machine Learning, developed teaching materials, and conducted academic research. Additionally, they had roles as a Senior Research and Development Software Engineer at iNNOTECH in 2017 and as a Data Warehouse Consultant at DataGear from 2012 to 2015.

Gamal Elkoumy has a diverse educational background in the field of computer science. Gamal completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Tanta University between 2008 and 2012. Gamal then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Tanta University from 2015 to 2018.

Following their Master's degree, Gamal Elkoumy enrolled at the University of Tartu in 2018. Gamal is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree with a specialization in Privacy-Enhancing Technologies for Process Mining in the field of Computer Science. Gamal is expected to graduate in 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Gamal Elkoumy has obtained several certifications. These include Algorithmic Toolbox from Coursera Course Certificates in February 2017, Exploratory Data Analysis from Coursera Verified Certificates in August 2014, Getting and Cleaning Data from Coursera Verified Certificates in July 2014, R Programming from Coursera Verified Certificates in June 2014, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates in June 2014. Gamal has also acquired certifications in SAS Data Integration from SAS in May 2013, Teradata SQL Certified Professional from Teradata in February 2013, and Teradata Basics from Teradata in January 2013.

Lastly, in 2017, Gamal Elkoumy completed a Data Analyst Nanodegree program from Udacity. This program provided him with a comprehensive understanding of Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Data Wrangling, and Web scraping.
